Stormhaven

Stormhaven

There’s twenty different tomorrows

Depending on the path you follow

Will you choose your direction wisely?

Or squander your precious energy?

Save me from the whirlpool

It’s pulling me in

It has a message for me

I don’t want to listen

Is it escapism to smell the flowers?

Anything to feel empowered.

(Tomorrow) I will break away

(Sorrow) I will break away

(Follow) I will break away

(Hollow) I broke away

Check the boxes, chase success,

Must outrun the heaviness

I wear my hustle like a shield—

But wounds don’t heal when concealed.

Save me from the storm

It’ll make me rage

I have a message for you

We’re not on the same page.

Is it escapism to plant a tree?

Anything’s better than falling free.

(Tomorrow) I will break away

(Sorrow) I will break away

(Follow) I will break away

(Hollow) I broke away

Save me from the whirlpool

It’s pulling me in

It has a message for me

I don’t want to listen

In my garden haven

I’m not running away

I’ll bring my raven

Feelings into the day.

Just one more breath of distraction,

One more step before contraction.

Just one more breath of distraction,

One more step before contraction.

(‘Morrow)

(‘Morrow)

(‘Morrow)

(Oh)

(‘Follow)

Save me from the earthquake

The last one broke us

It gave us a message

About the fragility of trust

Is it escapism to create art?

Anything to escape my parts.

In my chosen dailies

I’m not running away

I’m listening to lilies

And all that they say.

(Sorrow) I have broke today

(Hollow) There’s too much to say

(Tomorrow) I will be okay

(Follow) I learned to stay

Checking off tasks today

There’s too much to say

Checking off tasks to numb the ache,

Masking grief with things to make.

Coming apart at the seams,

I’m choking out my dreams.

(Tomorrow)

(Tomorrow)

(‘Morrow)

(‘Morrow)

(‘Morrow)

(‘Morrow)

(Follow)

It’s far harder than it sounds

To keep the vow to my heart

Outside there’s buds and blossoms,

Inside I’m falling apart

Save us from the tyrant rule

That condemns our whirlpools

Storms give us messages

That to ignore makes us fools

It’s not escapism to unfold

Anything that makes us whole.

There’s twenty different tomorrows

Depending on the path you follow

Will you choose your direction wisely?

Or squander your precious energy?

(Tomorrow) Your storms tell a story,

(Follow) It’s your sacred design.

(Sorrow) Our storms tell a story

(Follow) Will you listen to mine?

In my garden haven

I’m not running away

I’ll bring my raven

Feelings into the day.

It’s not escapism to unfold

Anything that makes us whole.

Glory in Grey

Glory in Grey

I’ve been low,
I’ve been hushed.
I’ve been hollow.
Now I shine from the dark
like there’s no tomorrow.

We might seem scattered,
But it’s better to be bold;
To scream out loud,
Than to grow staid and old.

[Pre-chorus, 1st time]
Ruins to shrines, you can’t dull my shine.
Dare to flare, I’m doing just fine.

[Chorus, 1st time]
From the ashes rise green blades,
As we grow wise in grey age.
Some storms never fade.
In the ruins we may pray
Life is born from decay
I’m golden in grey.

When all has burned down,
Green blades rise.
When you hit rock bottom,
Moss claims the stone.

[Bridge]
I am the light
in the temple of shadows,
I am the knight
In the chapel of echoes.

[Pre-chorus, 2nd time]
Ruins to shrines, you can’t dull my shine.
Dare to flare, I’m doing just fine.

[Chorus, 2nd time]
From the ashes rise green blades,
As we grow wise in grey age.
Some storms never fade.
In the ruins we may pray
Life is born from decay
I’m golden in grey.

[Instrumental Break]

Torch in the cave, I light the maze.
Set the labyrinth ablaze.

[Pre-chorus, 3rd time]
Ruins to shrines, you can’t dull my shine.
Dare to flare, I’m doing just fine.

[Chorus, 3rd time]
From the ashes rise green blades,
As I grow wise in grey age,
My storms never fade.
In my ruins I will pray,
Life is born from decay
I’m glory in grey.

When all has burned down,
Green blades rise.
When you hit rock bottom,
Moss claims the stone.

My light lives where shadows grow,
Under the cairn, I start to glow.

[Outro]
Ruins to shrines,
We’re doing just fine.
Rising today,
We’re glory in grey.

(Ruins to shrines,
We’re doing just fine.)

Ruins to shrines,
We’re fine, just fine.
We’re rising today – rising today,
We’re glory in grey.

I’m glory in grey.

Diamond Tornado

Diamond Tornado

You thought you wanted my love,

But you grabbed more than you can hold.

I’m the freak from your fantasies,

I’m the terror from your nightmares.

I walked through fire for your touch

Now you tell me that I’m too much.

Come to me and get scorched—

I need your heart; you need my torch.

I am the storm your heart’s summoning.

I am the charging cheetah, the soaring seagull.

I’m broken and brave, and I’m becoming

A wild horse, a roaring lion.

We’re taught to swallow stars in silence…

Fevers rise high and tempers break;

But now my heart’s the cosmos wide;

My roar is an earthquake.

You asked for my love,

But you have more than you can hold.

I’m the dream in your fevered nights,

I’m the terror you can’t control.

My scars are a map,

They lead the way into a whirlpool,

A portal – not a trap,

Where I was once a young girl too.

I am the storm your heart’s summoning.

I’m every beast you dream and dread.

I’m broken and brave, and I’m becoming

A wild horse, a roaring lion.

Climb out of your self-pity

Where your heart once drowned.

Your cup is no longer half empty,

But overflowing with overwhelm.

I’m the fire in the furnace of fear,

The echo you hush but still hear.

Tell me what’s good and what’s not,

But you’ll need my roar when things get hot.

I am the storm your heart’s summoning.

I am the charging cheetah, the soaring seagull.

I’m broken and blazing, and I’m becoming

A wildfire, a dragon’s cry.

We’re taught to keep our heads down…

Thought I’d break beneath the weight,

But this pressure made me diamond.

My cut is a tornado.

You have all my love;

But it’s wilder than you’ve ever known.

Step up and take the reins,

I’ll take you places never shown.

I’m the freak (freak) from your fantasies  (fantasies)

You don’t know what you’re summoning;

(your heart summoned me)

I’m broken and brave (blazing) and I’m becoming

A wildfire, a dragon’s cry; (a roaring lion)

I’m the storm you’ve summoned;

(your heart summoned me)

I’m a diamond tornado.

(your heart summoned me)

I’m a diamond tornado.

(your diamond tornado)

Your diamond tornado.

Trillion Codes

🎻🎹 Trillion Codes 🎹🎻

🎼

One day sunshine, next day rain.

Today is unkind and full of shame.

Will tomorrow be the same?

One day sunlight, next day pain.

Are storms to blame for tonight?

Or is it me looking for a fight?

🧬

A trillion codes make up my wild body,

A million modes of creation and entropy.

🌪

If my smile is sunshine,

And my tears are rain,

What storm lies behind,

This parade of pain?

🎼

I’m not as fickle as you think.

Explore this riddle with me:

How can seasons pass in a blink?

When did we shift from fiddling free

to confines which only shrink?

Take my hand and I’ll help you see.

🧬

A trillion codes make up my wild body,

A million modes of creation and entropy.

🌉

I’m not a contradiction.

Measure me in moons,

And make your prediction.

Don’t call me fickle – call me fractal.

I pick through these ruins

To resolve the riddle.

🌪

If my smile is sunshine,

And my tears are rain,

What storm lies behind,

This parade of pain?

🎼

I can put away my sorrows,

To become the greatest storm,

of many tomorrows.

Instead I’ll wear my storm,

on my sleeves and skin

And become the beast within.

🧬

A trillion codes make up my wild body,

A million modes of creation and entropy.

🌪🌪

My smile is sunshine,

My sobs are thunder,

The storm walks beside,

a head full of hunger.

My smile is sunshine,

My heart is under

The storm inside;

a soul full of wonder.

🎼

I will ride the rolling waves,

unbridle my roiling heart.

I will shake the caves,

where I’ve hidden every part.

I will walk in the maze,

my finish is the start.

🧬

A trillion codes make up my wild body,

A million modes of creation and entropy.

🌪🌪

My smile is sunshine,

My sobs are thunder,

The storm walks beside,

a head full of hunger.

My smile is sunshine,

My heart is under

The storm inside;

a soul full of wonder.
